The Day I Was Sick

I was sick on a school day I was laying on the couch when the rū whenua happened.

I ran to the door as fast as a cheetah. I hadn’t heard the rū whenua because I was playing my PSP with my head phones on and had turned the sound up high.
The rū whenua woke my mum up. I stayed in the door-way with Mum. After 5 minutes Mum and I went into the car and listend to the radio. We couldn’t call Dad because the phone line was dead. 
I was scared and was as white as a white tiger.
I was all ok because my mum looked after me.
